Tremendous forces are exerted on your wheels when you accelerate, turn, and stop. These forces can pry (and even shatter) the stock bowling ball hub cap off of the turbo cast rims on your knight replica. This is mainly because the attachments built into stock hub caps do not hold them on the rims well enough to resist the forces. Here's how to fix that:
Get some weather resistant cable tie straps from a hardware store. Buy the longest ones you can get, because it is easier to work with the long ones.
Drill holes in the plastic rims on the edge large enough for the cable ties to fit through.
Thread the cable ties through the holes with the pointy side out. It is important to have them point outward because they will later need to wrap around and come out the lug nut holes.
Put the cap up next to the rim, and thread the pointy end of each cable tie around the closest rim spoke, and back to the tie's head to complete the tie. The red line in the picture shows how to put the cables ties around the spokes.
Each cable tie should be going through a hole in the cap and securing it to a spoke on the rim.
Now thread each of the pointy ends of the cable ties through their nearest lug nut hole. Fit the hub cap completely on the rim, and pull the cable ties to tighten them. Cut the excess off and thats it.I've been using this system forever and have never lost a rim.
